TWO CONSECUTIVE DATES: JULY 20 & 21, 2026
Learn the secrets to creating a beautiful & personal travel journal whether you are at a local café, tending a garden, relaxing at a cottage or on a trip of a lifetime! Knowing how to "capture" your vision can be learned with some reflective and mindful exercises & simple but characterful strokes.
*Limited to 10 participants.
Day 1 We'll learn concepts, look at vision boards & cover ideal pen and watercolour techniques with warm ups to get the brain into the right creative mindset
Day 2 We will put it all into practice while we sketch & paint this street from a colourful street from my travels to Tuscany or maybe Morocco? (see sample reference photo below)
No matter what your "artistic level" or where your journey takes you, geographically or emotionally, creating an artist's travel journal can be a very rich & personal memoir. Studies show that drawing helps to reinforce memory & that connectivity in this day and age is priceless. Join me as I walk you through the process so that you too can doodle, sketch and paint wonderful, whimsical illustrations of the people, places and things you love!
WORKSHOP TIME: 9:30-3:30 both days
LOCATION:
NEPEAN MUSEUM at 16 Rowley Ave,Nepean, ONK2G 1L9
There are parking spaces for approximately 9 cars, as well as 3 accessible spaces. Parking is available at the front and the rear of the building and on the street: Harris Place
EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Comfort with observational drawing (even if at a beginner level).
Some watercolour knowledge is needed (even if at a beginner level).
