All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your favourite art supplies.
Beginners and all skill levels are warmly welcome.
About the Workshop
Join me, Jaime Hoe, for a relaxed 2-hour indoor watercolour workshop where we explore floral styles that inspire, energise, and allow you to express your unique mark-making voice.
Whether you’re a total beginner or already comfortable with watercolour, this session offers space to explore and experiment in a supportive, creative environment. We’ll combine design-thinking, deliberate practice, and the joy of discovery — yes, mistakes are welcome!
In this workshop, you’ll:
🌼 Explore three distinct floral styles — abstract gestures, loose expressive washes, and detailed botanical work
🌼 Learn techniques in contour drawing, layering washes, blending colours, controlling water flow, and adding expressive depth
🌼 Work from photographs, live florals, and your imagination
🌼 Receive personalised guidance in a small-group setting
🌼 Leave with one or more artworks you’re proud of — and a refreshed outlook on floral painting
We’ll meet indoors at Melbourne Central Skybridge, surrounded by natural light and creative energy. Bring your curiosity and a willingness to play with colour!
