The MAA is proud to host a watercolor workshop with artist Ken Hobson. The workshop will be held August October 2-5 from 9am-4pm at the MAA Gallery in the Mountaineer Mall.
Member Cost: $374.50
Non-Member Cost: $401.23

Join nationally recognized watercolorist Ken Hobson for a special workshop experience! A native of Michigan and a graduate of Kendall College of Art & Design, Ken has spent decades honing his craft as both an illustrator and fine artist. His career includes serving as a Senior Artist at Walt Disney World and exhibiting in prestigious venues such as the Society of Illustrators in New York, the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition, and the Watercolor Society of North Carolina.
Ken now lives and works in Greensboro, NC, where he paints full-time and teaches workshops across the country. He brings a wealth of experience, energy, and inspiration to every class, and his teaching style is known for being engaging, encouraging, and informative.
His work has earned multiple honors, including 1st Place and Best of Show at the Randolph Arts Guild and the People’s Choice Award at the Mt. Vale Vineyards Plein Air Event. Ken has taught at venues such as John C. Campbell Folk School (NC), Chestnut Creek School of the Arts (VA), Florence Thomas Art School (NC), and many more from Florida to Colorado.
