Watercolor Workshop @ Labo w/ Sanbiru

Join us at Labo for an evening of creativity and learning! Sanbiru is hosting a watercolor workshop for all experience levels (but particularly helpful for beginners) covering basic color theory and technique. Walk home with a wonderful piece of your own capturing a tasty treat that you can find around Whyte Ave!

"Hi! My name is Sambil (Sam-bil) or Sanbiru ( San-bi-ru). I’m a Chinese-Canadian artist based in Edmonton, AB, I am most known for creating a lovable sticker collection featuring a mash-up between animals and rock climbing titled Climbing Creatures. My artwork mediums are acrylics and watercolors. I use an airbrush for my acrylic paintings. Outside of my artistic pursuits, I enjoy exploring the city on my bicycle, playing with my cats and occasionally I work as a makeup artist on film sets during my downtime.

This workshop is for anyone willing to learn more about watercolors from color theory to techniques. Everyone is welcome to join, the workshop is beginner-friendly. You’ll have 2 paintings to take home. Supplies are included (brushes & painting (5X7 inch))

We'll be learning how to paint food paintings, you can bring a reference in or pick the desserts I have available. You are welcome to bring your own watercolor pallets & aprons.

We recommend wearing clothing that you don't mind getting paint on."
