"Now, bring me that horizon!": A Watercolor Workshopwith Castlen King Rogers
At the end of the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, Captain Jack Sparrow says,"Now, bring me that horizon!" That line is the inspiration for the watercolor workshop in August that invites participants to explore the symbolic power of sunrises and sunsets, focusing on the horizon line to capture these moments of transition. Sunrises are traditionally seen as symbols of new beginnings and the potential for fresh starts, while sunsets often embody closure, reflection, and the peaceful release of the day. August, a month of heightened energy, carries significant metaphysical meaning as it bridges the end of summer and the approach of harvest season.
As the earth begins to shift toward the harvest, the energy of August encourages reflection, renewal, and gratitude for the lessons of the year thus far. Through the act of painting, participants will not only capture the beauty of these celestial moments but also connect with the deeper metaphysical rhythms of the season.
