About the instructor: Waunakee resident Melissa Hathaway of One Light Studio discovered her love for watercolor after health issues drew her to find new ways to keep her brain calm. Her whimsical, abstract style of watercolor painting is an expression of her personality, with each painting created to tell a story and represent significant moments in her life. She chose the name “One light” because it only takes “one light to illuminate the darkness." It is her hope that her art will bring light and speak to others, offering peace and joy for their daily life.
