Come in out of the cold and relax with a little watercolor painting and some hot cocoa! This workshop will provide Professional step-by-step instruction on painting a beautiful and blustery winter landscape. Learn a variety of different watercolor techniques and compositional strategies for creating the effects of a dense snowy atmosphere.Class Requirements
• In order to guarantee space is available, students must register in advance before the start of class
• No previous art making skills are required, just a love for art and an eagerness to learn and create!
What you'll learn
• Students will learn how to utilize watercolor paints strategically to create soft pale colors while leaving enough white to create the illusion of snow.
• Students will gain a better understanding of the importance of working "light to dark" when layering watercolor paints
Students will gain a better understanding of the importance of working "back to front" when developing a lansdcape composition
• Students will develop an increased confidence in their art making abilities
Sample Class Format
•Students will be guided step by step through each stage of the painting process. The importance of the various techniques and materials will be explained in detail as the painting progresses.
Free hot cocoa or coffee is provided!
