Join us for a 2-hour watercolor workshop exploring the techniques used to create the color, movement, and texture of a tropical ocean scene. Participants will learn masking techniques to preserve the white of the paper, wet-on-wet blending, applying salt for texture, and color mixing methods to create custom blue-greens and subtle shifts in value. We will also explore how brushwork can be used to bring the movement of water to life.
The class will introduce watercolor materials and brush handling, including how to create washes, control moisture levels, and layer color. Participants will work on 100% cotton cold press paper (size 11.7”x8.25”) using watercolor pigments from tubes.
All materials are provided, including one beverage. This workshop is open to all experience levels, and beginners are welcome!
