About this Event
Join Shruthi for a 90-minute, beginner-friendly watercolor class where we’ll paint soft, layered mountain landscapes and explore the calming nature of watercolor. As a watercolor artist, I love showing people how accessible and meditative this medium can be, especially when we let go of perfection and follow the flow of color and water.
In this class, I’ll guide you step by step through layering techniques, gentle gradients, and simple composition to create depth and atmosphere in your own mountain scene. Along the way, you’ll learn practical watercolor skills, build confidence, and discover how relaxing and restorative painting can be.
Whether you’ve never picked up a brush or you’ve painted before and want to loosen up and experiment, you’re welcome here. My goal is for you to leave feeling proud of what you created and inspired to keep painting.
All materials are included. Just bring yourself and an open mind. Introductory Pricing Notice: This watercolor landscape class is currently offered at a special introductory rate. Pricing for future sessions may increase.
About Shruthi Iyer
I discovered watercolors back in 2020 during the height of the COVID era. While many people were busy perfecting their sourdough recipes, I picked up a brush and began exploring this wonderfully fluid medium. What drew me in was its immediacy. There is something captivating about how quickly and vividly it brings ideas to life. It just clicked for me.
Later, I stumbled upon urban sketching and was instantly hooked. I couldn’t sleep that night just imagining how incredible it was to document the world around you in real time. In an age where so many of us are glued to our screens, it felt like a meaningful, creative alternative to simply scrolling.
That excitement sparked a daily habit, and I started making art every single day. It became a rhythm and a kind of meditation for me. I love sharing this practice in my workshops because I’ve seen how much joy art can bring, not just to the person painting but to anyone who experiences it. My goal is to help you find your own creative rhythm and get lost in the simple, powerful joy of creating.
