Stop by the Curtis Center for the Arts after school to create landscapes and abstract paintings that come from your imagination. Students will learn a variety of brushstrokes and techniques for painting with watercolor.
Throughout the class students will create imaginary landscapes and abstract paintings while exploring the possibilities of watercolor through color mixing and experimental techniques, including washes, color mixing, transparent layering, wet-on-wet, drybrush and blending. Learn textural and expressive effects like adding salt, rubbing alcohol or resist materials to the paint and paper.
