Watercolor Group with Erinly Art (Intermediate & Advanced)
About this Event
Spend two relaxed hours painting alongside neighborhood artist Erin Young of Erinly Art. This session is for painters who already have a little watercolor under their belt and want dedicated time to work on something of their own.
Bring a reference photo you've been wanting to paint or a peice you've already started.
I'll move around the room, answer questions, and help with whatever your painting calls for: color mixing and matching, values and shadows, wet-on-wet timing, softening edges, building texture, knowing when to stop.
Expect open studio time with an instructor on hand and the good company of neighbors who want to slow down and get creative. You'll work at your own pace, learning new techniques and best practices along the way.
Open to anyone who has taken a beginner class with me, or anyone in the neighborhood with some painting experience who wants to join in.
Class runs with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 8 students, so grab a spot and bring a friend.
Class will take place in the Ambassador's Suite meeting space in the Cane Island Amenity Center above the former Humble Grounds coffee shop.
Supplies
You'll need your own supplies for this one. Here is my list of recommended supplies.
If you took the beginner class or already paint at home, you probably have everything you need. If you'd rather skip the shopping, I'm offering simple supply kits that include:
- Watercolor paints (pan set)
- Set of brushes
- 9x12 pad of 140 lb cold press watercolor pad
If you'd like a supply kit, be sure to place your order by Thursday, Sep 10.
