Watercolor for the Absolute Beginner

Classes meet once a week for five weeks starting Friday, September 5th to October 3rd from 10am to 12pm EDT

While painting various subjects, we will be creating frameable art while we are learning:

● What Supplies to Use

● Color Theory

● Positive and Negative Painting

● Values and Monochromatic Painting

● How to Create Depth

● Tips and Techniques

This is a four week workshop. We will meet on:

Friday 9/19 10:00am-12:00pm

Friday 9/26 10:00am-12:00pm

Friday 10/3 10:00am-12:00pm

Supplies are not included. You will receive an email with the suggested supply list when you register for the workshop. Cost for supplies is approximately $150.00.

About the instructor:

Mark Willenbrink loves the creative challenges of watercolors and their active, fluid nature. Mark is a professional illustrator and fine artist. Earning his art degree from Central Academy of Commercial Art, Mark is a professional illustrator and fine artist and is a signature member of the Cincinnati Art Club. As contributing editors, Mark, with his wife Mary, wrote over thirty “Brush Basics” articles for Watercolor Artist Magazine. Mark and Mary are also best-selling authors of numerous art instruction books, including Watercolor for the Absolute Beginner. As an art instructor, Mark is passionate about teaching his students how to paint with watercolors and encourages them to use their creative potential.
