Learn the Techniques to Paint a Colorful Kitty or Dog Portrait

$95 if you bring all your own supplies or $125 with all supplies included pus an 11”x14’ mat

This fun all day class will cover a wide variety of watercolor painting techniques teaching you how to create realism in pet paintings. We will be painting head and shoulder images of either a dog or cat and Phyllis has a huge variety of dog and cat images available for you to choose.

After the drawing is transferred to your watercolor paper, we will spend time learning how to create the special sparkle in their eyes that brings your pet portraits to life. Then we will work on the facial structure, tips for painting realistic fur, final details and backgrounds.

We will not be painting your specific pet in this class , but we will have fun learning what you need to know if you wish to take the “Paint Your Pet Class” in the Fall.

Spend a fun day learning how to capture the world in watercolors as you paint your very own piece. In each class you will finish one painting of the given subject, all levels are welcome and lots of personal coaching will be provided. NO DRAWING SKILLS NEEDED! Drawings for All Subjects provided in Class.
