About this Event

Join N.C. Cooperative Extension and Sunset Beach Environmental Resources Committee on May 11th from 10am-noon at the Sunset Beach Community Center for Water, Water, What to do? A Homeowner's Guide to Rain Gardens.

Rain Gardens can be an attractive and functional addition to any landscape. They slow and intercept the flow of storm water from rooftops and driveways and then allow that water to infiltrate back into the ground. This interactive workshop will teach you why rain gardens are important, how to design, site and build your rain garden, and how to landscape them with beautiful, low maintenance native plants. Don't miss out on the opportunity to learn how you can protect our precious water resources with beautiful and functional landscaping!
