Ouachita Green's Water Sweep 2025 at Black Bayou Lake NWR is 8-11 am on Saturday, September 13. Please preregister at ouachitagreen.org/volunteer so we know how many supplies to bring. We will meet at the Visitor Center for instructions and equipment. Experienced kayakers may bring their own watercraft (no watercraft will be provided at the refuge). We will focus on land-based hot spots. Please wear sturdy, closed toed shoes and bring a water bottle. Thank you for joining us in making Ouachita Parish a more beautiful and safer place to live for our wildlife and our community.
