Friday Welcome to Davenport
6pm Pizza Party
Yes, Quad City style pizza is a unique treat! Join your hosts, Stripped Gears McGurk and Susanna Davenport, for a QC favorite. Dining will be al fresco in the Leabhart back yard.
Saturday
River, Land, and History
Meet at the Chanel Cat Village of East Davenport landing at 10 am . We will ride the Chanel Cat Water Taxi to Moline where we will depart the craft and walk to the John Deere Pavillion. At the Pavillion, we will explore the past and present of our rich agricultural tradition.
Lunch at the River House Bar and Grill
After lunch, we'll reboard the Channel Cat and enjoy the ride on the Mississippi.
We will off board in the the Village of East Davenport.
The Village features Lindsey Park, and several shops, bars, and ice cream! Lindsey Park is the new site of the Seurat statues. Lagomarcino's is famous for ice cream sodas, homemade hot fudge sundaes, and candy.
Dinner on the roof top. Meet at Rudy's Tacos for dining with views of the river.
Sunday
10 am brunch at Casa Leabhart.
Brunch will be followed by a mobile tour of Bix Beiderbeck historic sites. We will get into vehicles for a drive by tour of his childhood home, the church he played organ at, and his High School. We will stop at the Levee Park band shell and the Bix bust. Next we will stop at his burial site.
Channel Cat fare is $8 for a day.
John Deere Pavillion is free.
Estimated cost of pizza party is $5 per person.
