Join us every Saturday in April for a month-long celebration of Earth Day. Each Saturday is divided into two sessions:
Morning Session: 10:00-noon
BREAK: noon-1:30 (optional mini-work day)
Afternoon Session: 1:30-3:00
Morning Session (10:30-noon):
-Friends of the Fox, a nonprofit organization made up of citizens and organizations taking action to protect and maintain the quality of the Fox River and its tributaries, will have a table with information.
-For everyone, Jenni Kempf, from Friends of the Fox, talks about her kayak trip down the Fox River then presents a 30-minute hands-on activity about pollution.
-For the adults, Robin Migalla will present the original video "Story of Stuff" from YouTube, and then lead a conversation on living zero waste afterwards.
-Mostly for the kids, join the Elgin Men's Shed, who will be bringing a variety of simple building projects, like bird houses.

Break (noon-1:30):
Optional work day- help dig holes, plant trees and plants, etc.
ENTERTAINMENT: fill your ears with musical magic from local group New Vintage Strings
