Wasted Major started at college in Knoxville but they are from all over the United States, from Boston to Sewanee, from Raleigh to Greeneville and from Memphis to Nashville.
They are young so they make younger sounding country and southern rock with no boundaries between the two, and they have a lot of modern influences. To better understand they also still sound like the Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty and also Elvis and Elton John, but it's a new musical experience. Because of their very young age, their broad range of instrumentation and 3 vocalists, they are able to capture a variety of sounds.
They are also open to listening to all kinds of music and get inspired by that. They're focused most on their own songs but don't mind playing songs from aforementioned plus Zac Brown Band, Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Garth Brooks, Midland, Train, Dire Straits, the Beatles and more.
In the summer of 2021, Wasted Major recorded a demo with Nashville based sound producer Cowboy Keith Thompson. Don't miss them on their European tour, you'll be sorry.
