Waste Care Workshop: Turning waste into sustainable products

Through simple techniques like fermentation, preservation, and creative recipes, you’ll discover how to unlock the hidden potential of your organic waste and turn it from garbage into something purposeful and sustainable.

BREAKDOWN OF THE WORKSHOP:

Day 1: Sat 18th Jan, 10-4 PM

- Learn about the history of organic waste and its properties.

- Explore simple preservation techniques like dehydration, soaking, and fermentation.

- Plan your own home waste collection system.

Day 2: Sat 25th Jan, 10-4 PM

- Bring your organic waste to class for processing and documentation.

- Work in groups to create products like cosmetics, cleaners, and plant fertilizers using two selected recipes.

- Collaborate on a take-home booklet with recipes, processes, and photos from the workshop.

Dates: January 18th & 25th, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch break).

Price: €15 for 1 day / €20 for both (recommended)*

Perks: All tools and materials provided. You will take home the products you create during the workshop and the collective booklet with shared recipes.
