Wash Ave REFRESH! - Community Cleanup

Join your STL neighbors as we begin Phase 1 of the 'Wash Ave REFRESH!' - A Community Cleanup Day of 2-blocks (Tucker - 14th) & Lucas Park.
About this Event

YOU'RE INVITED!
Join 'Wash Ave REFRESH!' - a coordinated, multi-phase effort to visibly improve Wash Ave through community participation, professional cleaning, landscaping, public-space investment, vacant-storefront art activation, & neighborhood relationship building.

On Saturday, November 7th we'll kick off Phase 1 with an exciting Community Cleanup Day. Our focus will be a 2-block stretch of Wash Ave (Tucker Blvd thru 14th St) & Lucas Park (next to Central Library).

Here's what we hope to accomplish:

• Clean under & reset displaced grates to improve walkability and even sidewalk pathways for our friends & neighbors with physical disabilities;
• Pick up litter and debris throughout the corridor;
• Wash vacant storefront windows;
• Pull weeds on Wash Ave & Lucas Park;
• Address simple, visible maintenance issues that can be easily & safely corrected;
• Discard broken planters;
• Remove irrelevant signage from posts.
