JEAN-CLAUDE MARIGNALE
Born to make you dance! Pochodzi z Gwadelupy, mieszka w Paryżu. Choreograf, tancerz i pedagog. Autor choreografii m.in. do francuskiej wersji musicalu HAIR oraz spektaklu „Zobacz Jazz” dla Kieleckiego Teatru Tańca. Założyciel i dyrektor szkoły TOUT EN DANSE oraz twórca autorskiego JCM Dance Project. Jest niezwykle wszechstronny i uczy takich technik jak Lyrical Jazz, Modern Fusion, Hip-Hop, Street Jazz, Salsa, Hip-hop, Afro Ka Jazz i Urban Fusion.
AFRO KA JAZZ
Technika ta, stworzona przez samego Jean-Claude'a, jest połączeniem trzech elementów:
1) Afro – wykorzystuje kroki i cechy tańca afro.
2) Ka - wskazuje nazwę bębnów, na których grają muzycy. Podobnie jak Jean-Claude i jego bębniarze, bębny Ka pochodzą z Gwadelupy. Podczas zajęć Jean-Claude wykorzystuje rytm i podstawy Gwoki – tradycyjnego tańca i muzyki z Gwadelupy.
3) Jazz – podkreśla doświadczenie Jean-Claude’a jako tancerza jazzowego i jego niepowtarzalny styl jazzowy, którego uczył się m.in. w Alvin Ailey Dance School w Nowym Jorku.
Jean-Claude łączy elementy tych trzech technik i wykorzystuje je razem, odpowiadając na energię, jaką tancerze przynoszą ze sobą na zajęcia. Przez większość czasu będziesz tańczyć do rytmów bębnów z Gwadelupy, ale możesz również usłyszeć rytmy afrykańskie, karaibskie i hip-hopowe, a tempo będzie się wahać od wolnego, średniego do szybkiego. Ta taneczna fuzja pozwoli Ci uwolnić swoje ciało i poczuć karaibską energię. Zajęciom Afro Ka Jazz zawsze towarzyszą bębniarze grający muzykę na żywo, ze względu na ważną więź, która tworzy się między tancerzem, instruktorem i muzykami. To niepowtarzalna okazja, aby połączyć się z muzyką i rytmem na innym poziomie i poczuć karaibską wibrację.
LYRICAL JAZZ
Skupia się na choreografii i przedstawieniu. To, co czyni ten styl niepowtarzalnym to ruch tancerza, który musi opowiadać historię wyrażoną przez tekst lirycznego utworu.
MODERN FUSION
Opiera się na nowoczesnym jazzie z elementami jazzu i baletu, z unikalnym artystycznym zacięciem Jean-Claude'a, z wpływami jego pochodzenia i ruchu, który wypracował sam. Obejmuje elementy improwizacji wykorzystujące przestrzeń i podłogę do rozbudzenia ciała. Charakteryzuje się dużą swobodą i fragmentacją ruchu oraz szybkością w różnych kierunkach. Taniec rozumiany jest jako swoboda ruchu, dzięki której inaczej poczujesz swoje ciało i zresetujesz umysł.

Jean-Claude Marignale is returning to Poznań this November!🔥We're in for an exceptional weekend filled with dance! We've planned 5 two-hour classes from Friday to Sunday:
- two classes of our favourite Lyrical Jazz
- Modern Fusion
- two classes of Afro Ka Jazz with live drums!

During the Afro Ka Jazz classes, Jean-Claude will be accompanied by two drummers from Guadeloupe—Robert Coliné and René Burin—performing live! Anyone who attended last year knows the special atmosphere and incredible vibe these drums create. 🪘
Additionally, during the workshops, we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Jean-Claude's dance work in Poland! To mark the occasion, we are preparing a special surprise! Details coming soon... 🥳
All workshops will take place at Salsa Siempre dance school, well-known to Poznań residents, right in the centre of Poznań, in Galeria MM. 🏙️

JEAN-CLAUDE MARIGNALE
Born to make you dance! He comes from the Caribbean island Guadeloupe, and lives in Paris. He is a choreographer, dancer and teacher. Author of choreography, among others for: the French version of the Musical HAIR and the show "See Jazz" for the Kielce Dance Theater. Founder and director of the TOUT EN DANSE school and creator of the original JCM Dance Project. He is extremely versatile and teaches techniques such as Lyrical Jazz, Modern Fusion, Hip-Hop, Street Jazz, Salsa, Hip-hop, Afro Ka Jazz and Urban Fusion.
AFRO KA JAZZ
This technique, created by Jean-Claude himself, is a fusion of three elements:
1) Afro - using the steps and features of afro dance.
2) Ka - indicating the name of the drums that the musicians play on. Like Jean-Claude and his drummers, the Ka drums come from Guadeloupe. During the class Jean-Claude uses the rhythm and foundations of Gwoka - a traditional dance and music from Guadeloupe.
3) Jazz - highlighting Jean-Claude’s background as a jazz dancer and his unique jazz style, which he studied among other places at the Alvin Ailey Dance School in New York.
Jean-Claude mixes the elements of these three techniques and uses them altogether, responding to the energy that the dancers bring to the class. Most of the time you will dance to drum rhythms from Guadeloupe, but African, Caribbean and hip hop rhythms can also play, and the tempo will vary from slow, medium to fast. This dance fusion will let you free your body and feel the Caribbean sensation and energy. It is always accompanied by drummers who play live music as there is an important connection between the dancer, the teacher and the musicians. It is a unique opportunity to connect to music and rhythm on a different level and experience the Caribbean vibration.
LYRICAL JAZZ
It focuses on choreography and performance. What makes this style unique is the movement of the dancer, who must tell the story expressed by the lyrics of the lyrical song.
MODERN FUSION
It is based on modern jazz incorporating jazz elements and ballet with Jean-Claude’s unique artistic flavour with influence of his background and movement he also developed himself. It includes parts of improvisation using the space and the floor to awaken the body. It’s characterised by a lot of liberty and fragmentation of movement and speed across different directions. Dance is the liberty of movement to make you feel your body differently and reset your mind.
