Welcome to the Warhammer Underworlds Grand Resurgence 2021! Emerge from your lairs beneath the Mountain of Beastgrave to venture out into the Mirrored City once more and join Atlanta's Warhammer Underworlds community for our very first live event since the world was held at the mercy of Papa Nurgle and the spread of his abhorrent blessings.
This event will be held Saturday, June 19th, 2021 at [Giga-Bites Cafe https://giga-bitescafe.com/] in Marietta, Georgia. The event will be 5 rounds, Best-of-One matches in the Vanguard+ format. Vanguard+ means that only Universal cards from the latest season (called Direchasm) and the Essentials card pack will be allowed, along with the boards from Direchasm and the Warhammer Underworlds Two Player Starter set. The twist is you may play ANY official Warhammer Underworlds warband including their faction specific cards. The event will adhere to the most up to date rules, regulations, FAQ, Errata, and FAR list put out by Games Workshop, which can be found [here https://www.warhammer-community.com/faqs/].
Additionally, all health and regulation standards set forth by government and health officials will be followed and adhered to as per Giga-Bites café policy. It is our intent and responsibility as a community to look out for one another and ensure the safe and enjoyable gaming for all who attend this event.
Now onto the good stuff!
A true Champion of the Mirrored City will be crowned when they are the last remaining undefeated player. Subsequent placings for runner up and on down will be determined on a points-based system (win=3pts, tie=1pt, loss=0pts) Tie breakers will be determined by overall glory differential for determining final event placings.
The official prizes for this event will include a plethora of alternate art cards, custom made tokens, nick-knacks, and very special prizes for the winner and the runner up, which will be revealed the day of!
The registration fee is $10 to be paid upon arrival at the event, and this money strictly goes to covering event costs and financing prize support.
