Join us for this month’s paint contest!August’s Theme: Jungle Warfare
The "Jungle Warfare" theme immerses you in the dense, vibrant environment of tropical battlefields. Focus on creating models set against lush greenery, tangled vines, and rugged terrain, capturing the challenges of warfare in the heart of a jungle. Use rich, natural colors and intricate details to evoke the atmosphere of hidden dangers and relentless conflict in a wild, untamed landscape.
► How to Enter:
Choose a model that fits the theme and paint it according to the painting rubric outlined below. The model must meet the following requirements: it should be painted with at least three colors, properly based, and composed of at least 50% Games Workshop (GW) parts.
Showcase your artistic skills by submitting your entries to the event throughout the month, where they will be displayed in a secure location for all to admire!
► Painting Rubric:
Each category can award 1-10 points.
• Preparation: Clean assembly, mold lines removed, and gaps filled
• Basecoat Coverage: Smooth and even base coat without streaks or blotches
• Color Scheme: Cohesive and appropriate choice of colors, creativity
• Blending and Layering: Smooth transitions between shades and highlights
• Shading: Effective use of shadows to enhance depth
• Detail Work: Precision in small details, like eyes, armor trims, or insignia
• Weathering Effects: Realistic wear and tear, rust, or grime (if applicable)
• Freehand Designs: Accuracy and creativity in freehand elements (if present)
• Basing: Base design and execution, including materials and integrity
• Overall Impression: General aesthetic appeal and “wow factor”

• 1st Place: $40
• 2nd Place: $20
• 3rd Place: $15
August 30th: Cut off date to submit
September 6th: Winner announced
