They remember the tramp of boots and the thunder of hooves. They remember the screams carried on the wind, the iron stink of blood in the snow. And now… they remember again.
From the wild places beyond the pale, the hosts of Destruction descend.
Beastmen spill from the forests in snarling herds. Warbands sworn to darker powers march beneath ragged banners. Things older than the Empire stir and hunger. They come not for conquest alone, but for ruin.
Their path is inevitable. Through the mountains. Through the narrow throat of the world. Through Black Fire Pass.
But there is resistance.
The forces of Order gather. Dwarfs march to settle ancient grudges in blood. Soldiers of the Empire stand because there is nowhere left to retreat. Other allies… come for reasons of their own.
They stand because they must.
