Warhammer End of Summer Painting Contest 2024Event Duration: Monday September 2nd through Monday September 23rd
Join us for our Warhammer End of Summer Painting Contest 2024! Showcase your creativity and painting skills by entering your painted Warhammer diorama. You have 20 days to bring in your masterpiece and let us capture its glory.
How It Works:
Submit Your Diorama:
Bring your painted Warhammer diorama to our store between September 2nd and September 23rd. We will photograph your diorama and help you enter it into the contest.
Judging: The photos will be reviewed by Hobbytown employees and a selection of randomly chosen customers.
Winners Announcement: On October 1st, we'll reveal the winners on our Facebook page and contact them directly by phone.

~Warhammer Diorama Contest Rules and Criteria~
Entry Fee: Free
Model Restrictions:
- All models must be from the Warhammer universe. Third-party models and conversions are allowed but must be primarily composed of official Warhammer miniatures (at least 75% original GW product)
Base and Presentation:
- Dioramas should be mounted on a sturdy and well-finished base.
- Presentation should be neat and professional, with no visible glue or construction materials.
- Each diorama must contain at least 3 different scenic elements.
Submission Requirements:
- Entries must be submitted by September 23rd.
- Participants must include a brief description or background of their diorama, explaining the scene and its context.
- Entries cannot have been submitted to a previous Hobbytown modeling contest.
Categories:
Single Figure on a Base of 100mm (~4in) or Smaller:
- For dioramas featuring a single figure or model on a base of 100mm or smaller.
Single Figure/Unit on a Base of 200mm (~8in) or Smaller:
- For dioramas featuring a single figure or a small unit on a base of 200mm or smaller.
Large Diorama No Larger Than ~300mm (12in):
- For larger dioramas with a maximum base size of 300mm (12 inches).
Junior Category (Ages 17 and Under):
- For dioramas created by participants aged 17 or younger. Entries can be in any of the above base size categories.
Award Categories:
Best Overall Diorama:
- Awarded to the diorama that excels in creativity, painting, modeling, and presentation across all categories.
Best Painting:
- Awarded to the diorama with the highest quality of paintwork, including attention to detail, blending, and special effects.
Best Storytelling:
- For the diorama that tells the most engaging and coherent story through its composition and elements.
Best Junior Diorama:
- Awarded to the best diorama created by a participant aged 17 or under, based on creativity, painting, and overall presentation.
*Participants can only win in one category
