Ward 6 Student Safety Conversation

Ward 6 Families & Community Members!

Your voice and experience is needed as we build out solutions to keep students in our Ward 6 neighborhoods safe. This event will bring together families, students, school leadership, community-based organizations, and public safety leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue about how we can collectively address challenges and build solutions to ensure the safety of our students as they travel to and from school. Your insights and lived experiences are essential, and this conversation will provide a space for collaboration and idea-sharing to better support all of our students here in Ward 6.

Food will be provided!

This convening will foster open communication and partnership between community members and those who work every day to promote youth safety. It’s also an opportunity to strengthen connections with other parents, neighbors, and school leaders to address shared challenges and identify actionable next steps. Together, we can ensure that the needs of our students and families are prioritized in ways that lead to lasting impact.

This event is organized by the DC Office of the Student Advocate and co-hosted with Beacon House in partnership with the DC Charter School Alliance, Parents Amplifying Voices in Education (PAVE), and the Office of Councilmember Charles Allen, Ward 6 member of the DC Council.
