Happy New Year to everyone, welcome to 2025
The first points events for the 2025 W.A.R. Driver Championship/"Pom" Jones Trophy are the 2025 GT Championships to be held on Saturday 25 January 2025.
We will be racing three 1/32 scale classes:
132 Sideways GT3/GTE class on the FPR track (4 x 3 minute heats)
132 Sideways Group 5 class on the WAR track (8 x 5 minute heats)
132 Modern GT class on the WAR track (8 x 5 minute heats)
The winner of each class will receive 25 points towards the 2025 W.A.R. Driver Championship.
Attached are the class rules.
$15 entry fee for the whole day.
Plaques and Certificates will be awarded to the drivers finishing first, second and third in each class, and the Race Director's Award will be presented to a driver as well in each class.
Spectators are most welcome to attend as well.
RACE PROGRAM – SATURDAY 25 January 2025
10AM – 4.15PM PRACTICE & SCRUTINEERING FOR ALL CLASSES
4.15PM SCRUTINEERING ENDS
4.30PM – 5.30PM RACING FOR 132 SIDEWAYS GT3 - GTE CLASS
5.30PM – 6.30PM RACING FOR 132 SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 GT CLASS
6.30PM – 6.45PM BREAK
6.45PM – 8PM RACING FOR 132 MODERN GT CLASS
There are also three practice nights scheduled before the GT Championships:
Wednesday 22 January 12 Noon - 9pm
Thursday 23 January 12 Noon - 9pm
Friday 24 January 12 Noon - 9pm
It should be a great day of slot car racing to kick off the 2025 W.A.R. racing season.
