War and Peace. Places of War.
About this Event
A group of everyday people step into the chapters on war, which many readers skimmed through in War and Peace. They have questions: What is war? What does it feel like to be in a war? Why does war happen? How can we tell who has won? They examine the battles, reenact moments, play characters, and invite you to witness with them what happened then and is happening now.
War is an ancient craft that takes blood and sagacity. It is also shaped by forces from all strata of society and is a lot more than winning a game. We memorialize wars. We hide wars in plain sight. We have many anti-war ideas and they stay as ideas.
Open rehearsal on Friday Nov 6 at 1pm
