王彩云,现任中国戏曲学院教授,是一名传统底蕴深厚又具创新精神的京胡演奏家,为传统戏曲做出不俗的贡献,在世界各地讲学与演出,将京胡与戏曲音乐发扬光大。
作为中国国粹的京剧,其神韵永离不开“四大件”之一的京胡。它铿锵有力的音色在拖腔与曲牌中扮演了不可或缺的角色,也逐渐衍生出众多脍炙人口的独奏曲目,成为京剧最具代表性的乐器之一。

Come and hear renowned Jinghu musician Wang Caiyun talk about the jinghu, a bowed two-string instrument that often doubles as the singer’s voice and is primarily responsible for carrying melodic lines with its bright tone, setting the pace and mood for different Peking opera scenes.
This exclusive talk is only open to Friends of SCO members and patrons of Ode to Peking Opera: Zhang Lie and SCO concert that features Guest Conductor Zhang Lie, collaboration between renowned Jinghu musician Wang Caiyun and Wang Jianhua, live performances of excerpts from the Peking opera Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy by the young and talented opera performer Li Bo, and numerous classical Peking opera classics!
