If you like fluffy critters, then come hike with us on the search for woodchucks! These furry creatures have been spotted all over the preserve! We’ll take a hike and explore McKinley Woods – Kerry Sheridan Grove while we look for signs of woodchucks. Maybe we’ll even spot a few! As we explore, we’ll learn fun facts about the woodchuck and why they call this preserve home.
Registration required by Thursday, June 24, by calling 815.722.9470 or online: https://apm.activecommunities.com/fpdwc/Activity_Search/wandering-for-woodchuck-hike/7582
The hike will be 1-2 miles on paved paths and natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information) no later than 48 hours before the program.
