This year, we are offering 2 different courses in order to cater for all levels. This is a favourite trip for many NZ and visiting pilots. A week of flying, theory sessions, weather briefings, learn flight planning, have daily de-briefs and much more.
The course will be run by Eva who loves running these courses and has done so for nearly 30 years, in many countries around the world with great success.
This is a fabulous opportunity to step up from PG2 pilot to become a competent thermal and XC pilot and get close to your PG3 rating. While you can do this over time by reading, flying with others and shear determination, this Wings & Waves course makes the progression so much easier.
Part of our course is that we our best to get as many of you as possible to the magic 20km or even 30km mark (or 50km like last time in Wanaka?), the latter being the benchmark which you need to achieve to get your PG3 rating.
Whether we get that far or not, this is a great opportunity to learn lots, have fun, clock up airtime, fly in good company and enjoy beautiful Wanaka.
The course is about $1300 for 6 days and $1500 for 7 days instructions and van. We will book shared accommodation again for those who are keen on that. Accommodation, food and travel (to Wanaka) cost are not included.
We will also run an XC course for those who have done a thermal course with us already and those who have 20+ hours inland flying under their belt. Watch this space :-)
