Walter Munk Day is a free, family-friendly, environmentally-focused event in Kellogg Park that attracts more than 1,000 children of all ages, 50 Exhibitors, and 80 volunteers. Ocean Alley and Kumeyaay Way continue Walters legacy of interactive ocean-related activities that educate the next generation of ocean leaders and inspire stewardship for our fragile environment, the ocean, and the species who call it home.
Guests will enjoy a fun-filled day that features tours of THE MAP of the Grand Canyons of La Jolla with a scavenger hunt at Walter Munk Educational Plaza, Kumeyaay tule boat building
and ceremonial launch, interactive educational ocean-related activities, face painting, art, music, food trucks, and so much more.
