Walt Wilkins is a revered Texas songwriter, singer, and producer known for his soulful storytelling and poetic lyricism. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has released several acclaimed solo albums and led the band The Mystiqueros, blending Americana, folk, and country with heart and grit. Wilkins’ songs have been recorded by artists such as Pat Green, Brandon Rhyder, and Kenny Rogers, earning him recognition as one of Texas’ most respected voices in roots music. Based in the Hill Country, he continues to write, tour, and inspire a new generation of songwriters.
Austin Mayse is a Texas-born singer-songwriter whose music bridges Americana, indie, and country styles. He released his second full-length album, Bridges & Kerosene, with production by Chris Beall and engineering by Ron Flynt. The album includes tracks like “Wretch Like Me,” “Rattlesnake,” “Sober Light,” “On My Way,” and “Leave Your Leavin’.” Before focusing on songwriting, Mayse played trumpet professionally in orchestras from his teenage years. He has also backed bands across genres and participated in indie projects, including The Great American Boxcar Chorus. Early in his career, he developed a musical friendship with Texas legend Rusty Wier, with whom he traveled and played gigs. Wier contributed guest vocals on Mayse’s debut album Devil On My Shoulder before he passed in 2009. Mayse’s style is often described as earnest and reflective, with a warm delivery and a blend of lyrical insight and country-tinged instrumentation.
