About this Event

Ever wonder what's actually going on inside your walls? Whether you're planning a remodel, dreaming of building a partition wall, or just curious about how your home is put together, Basic Wall Framing will give you the foundational knowledge and practical experience you need.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the core concepts of dimensional wood framing and the skills to build standard wall structures. You’ll get the chance to practice constructing real wall sections—complete with rough openings for a door—while learning industry-standard framing techniques and terminology.

What We’ll Cover

🧱 Identify the parts of a framed wall — studs, plates, headers, king and jack studs
📐 Lay out and mark accurate stud spacing using a measuring tape and chalk line
Cut and assemble a straight framed wall section with proper 24" on-center layout
🚪 Frame rough openings for a door and a window, including headers and sill plates
