Starting point : Metropolitan Building, the majestic building (picture of the building in our banner of this event) at the corner of SN Banerjee Road crossing with JN Road.
Winston Churchill famously said, history is written by the victors. On the other hand, the American author Robert Fulghum said, "I believe imagination is stronger than knowledge, that myth is more potent than history". The city of Calcutta's history was first written by its founders, once Clive won it back from Siraj Ud-Daulah. Calcutta is a city that is the living history, of its people who made it what it was and what it is.
A very interesting walk to show you the many versions of this thriving old city.
