About this Event
Can L.O.V.E bridge the frayed relationships between the African American community and police departments?
Filmaker A.J. Ali explores the ideology of connecting the divide between these two groups through L.O.V.E., an acrynom outlining steps individuals, communities, and departments can take to reconcile and find common ground, in his groundbreaking 2017 documentary Walking While Black-L.O.V.E. is the Answer.
Join us for dinner, a screening of the documentary, and a post-screening discussion with A.J. Ali, filmmaker and Founder and CEO of L.O.V.E. is the Answer.
Hosted at Howard Community College (HCC) by the African American Community Roundtable (AACR) and Howard County Office of Human Rights and Equity (OHRE), we'll delve into the heart of a social justice movement for an unforgettable evening of reflection, inspiration, and action.
Dinner will be provided. Doors open at 5:30 PM
