About this Event

This walk takes in Putney Heath - the highest point in the London Borough of Wandsworth - towering 60m above sea level. As well as reaching this gidying height the walk passes the Beverley Brook, Wimbledon Windmill an 18th century house built for politician George Clive. The walk also takes in the Alton Estate a Scandanavian inspired 1950s council estate built on land that was once part of a Capability Brown landscape garden.


The walk is 4.8 miles long and there will be a cafe break mid way.
