Walking Tour of the Perennial Gardens
About this Event
The Battery is home to more than 200,000 square feet of vibrant and biodiverse perennial gardens. This tour will offer an overview of the design process and current maintenance practices that keep our gardens thriving.
Tickets are required. General Admission tickets are $15. If you sign up to be a TBC Member, you will receive a promo code in your email that you can input during registration to waive the ticket fee. The tour's content is designed for adults; children ages 13 and up are welcome to participate alongside an adult chaperone if they have their own ticket.
Location: Meet at the benches in front of SeaGlass Carousel. Please refer to this map or these coordinates to help you find the meeting spot.
What to bring: Please note that this is an outdoor walking tour . Wear comfortable shoes and any layers and sun protection you will need to be comfortable outside for the event.
Foul weather plan: This is an entirely outdoor program. It will occur light rain or shine; in the event of inclement weather, participants will be e-mailed in advance with notice of any changes. If the weather looks less than clear on the day of the event, please check your email and also this page for updates before making your way to the park.
COVID-19 Policy for Events:
- We encourage any event participants that are not vaccinated against COVID-19 to please wear a mask while participating in our public programs.
- We ask that participants stay home if feeling sick or if they've had a known COVID-19 exposure in the last 5 days.
