Walking Tour of Mission San Jose DistrictJoin us on Saturday, October 8th as we walk and learn the history of the town of Mission San Jose. Our discussion begins with the Costanoan people, moves through the Mission Period, the Spanish-Mexican Period, up through U.S. occupation and beyond!
Kelsey Camello will be leading the group and will discuss some of the history of the land and its people.
Who was here? What did they do? What was life like ‘back then’?
Come out, learn local history, and exercise all at once!
Tour-goers will meet at 11am in the museum parking lot - 190 Anza Street (cross street of Ellsworth and Anza - near the post office). The tour is a little over a mile in length.
This event is free. Tour continues - rain or shine.
Before or after the tour there are plentiful places to eat, drink and explore - spend the day in Mission San Jose!
ALSO --- The Mission San Jose Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 19th Annual Olive Festival to be held on Saturday, October 8th and Sunday, October 9th, 2022 from 10:00am to 5:00pm behind the historic old Mission San Jose. The event features local vendors presenting olive products, quality arts and crafts, a variety of delicious foods, lively entertainment, and local wine and beer. The weekend offers great fun for all and creates a true sense of community.
