Walking Tour of Lancaster's Historic Cemeteries

The Lancaster Historic Cemetery Walking Tour highlights the range of Lancaster's historic cemeteries, from the grandiosity of Greenwood to the austere beauty of Shreiner Concord.

On this tour, we'll explore the final resting places of famous Lancastrians, ranging from politicians like Thaddeus Stevens and James Buchanan to Civil War General John Reynolds, as well as a healthy dose of local ghost stories and some truly surprising cemetery architecture along the way!

Bring your walking shoes, this tour will span approximately 1.2 miles over 2 hours. We will meet at the entrance of Greenwood Cemetery, walk up to Lancaster Cemetery (Lime St. & Lemon St.), and then end our tour at Shreiner Concord Cemetery (Chestnut St. and Mulberry St.) with ample Lancaster commentary along the way!
