Walking Tour of Georgia Tech and North Avenue

Learn about the history of Georgia Tech, the start of Tech football, changes to North Avenue, the history of Coca-Cola, the Ramblin’ Wreck, and more.

Paid parking is available directly across North Avenue from the starting point of the tour.

The details

• The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours.
• The tour meets on the lawn in front of the Tech Tower (Administration Building) on North Avenue.
• Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
• Public restrooms are not available on the tour route.
• Tickets are required; no walkups allowed.
• Face masks are currently optional for tours, however you are welcome to wear a mask if it makes you more comfortable.
• The tour is subject to cancellation at the guide's discretion due to inclement weather at the tour starting point. You will be notified via email.
