Walking Tour - Booze and the Borough

Join me to celebrate a time of inns and brewing. Come see traces of the hospitality offered by the inns of Borough High Street. Learn how central the hop trade was locally.

And of course find a variety of pubs for your delectation - after the tour!

We take in the story of one of London’s largest breweries, and of how its draymen treated an unpopular Austrian. We visit the site of a violent death caused by a very dangerous umbrella.

Above all, we celebrate the many links between the Borough and booze!

Meet me outside London Bridge Post Office, at 19A Borough High Street SE1 9SF.

The tour will finish approximately two hours later by Borough Market, near to London Bridge Station.
