About this Event
This community-focused walking program is designed for everyone—no matter your current fitness level. Whether you’re just starting to move more, have limited mobility, or are already active, this program offers a plan tailored to your needs. You’ll improve your strength, balance, and flexibility through walking intervals and exercises in a supportive environment.
Developed by a kinesiologist, Walking to Wellness is designed to make fitness enjoyable and achievable for everyone. It offers gradual, personalized training to help you build fitness, strength, and endurance based on your unique abilities and goals.
This session is free to attend and runs every Tuesday morning at the Mount Pleasant Community Centre in Vancouver.
We will meet in the gym. Look for the volunteers in the Kidney Foundation Lanyards.
Bring your runners and wear what you are comfortable walking in. We will be walking inside the gym unless the weather encourages us to get outside. The session starts with a warm up activity that is adaptable to anyone's ability and then we will start our walking intervals that are adjustable to the pace you are comfortable with.
