About this Event
Get the full experience of building, wiring and coding a robot to walk, from scratch
In this combo, get a discounted pricing when you sign up for both our flagship Walking Robot Bootcamps: Build & Wire and Coding.
On Day 1, learn what it takes to assemble and put an advanced walking robot together from scratch.
On Day 2, develop and implement the walking algorithms needed to bring your robot to life, using Arduino/C++.

Only basic prior experience with Arduino needed. Suitable for ages 11 & above. Adults welcome to join too!

Slot 2: Jun 23rd (Day 1) + Jun 24th (Day 2), 10am-5pm

What you'll learn in these 2x 6-hour bootcamps
Learn how to observe animals and translate nature's design into a bio-inspired robot.
Learn about the various electronic components and system architecture that links them together to form an advance robotic system .
Hardware is rarely perfect. Learn to troubleshoot and debug wiring and mechanical assemblies.
Apply the basics of text-based coding in C++/Arduino .
Study real animals to understand the physics of walking and balancing .
Apply that understanding to program a robot to balance and walk .
Go the extra mile - experiment to see how you can get your robot walking (or running) the fastest!
Get a custom certificate
All participants who successfully complete the bootcamp will receive a customised certificate from Whyte Labs.

Pre-requisites
This bootcamp requires you to be familiar with Arduino. No prior experience with Arduino? Get up to speed with our 3hr workshop !

Please note, that in the event that COVID-19 restrictions do not allow for the bootcamp to be conducted in-person, we will switch to a 100% online format, with the hardware kits delivered to your doorstep. We have been conducting bootcamps online for a long while now, are confident of providing just as valuable a learning experience nonetheless. We seek your understanding that no refunds would be provided.
