Celebrate the people, places, and events that helped shape Edmonton's queer history, with a Wîhkwêntôwin focus. This series of tours has three chances for you to learn about why this neighborhood was known as the gayborhood for so long. We'll leave from EVO on Jasper at 6:30, visit the first Flashback, check out the sites of former bars and baths like Buddys, Down Under, and Buddys Pub, talk about long-time Edmonton magazine Times.10, walk the paths of turn of the millenium Pride festivities, and more!These tours are free - and thanks to support from the Wîhkwêntôwin Community League, our tour guides get honorariums, which means any donations you make when booking your tickets will go to support future work for the Edmonton Queer History Project.
