About this Event
Please join Talat Shah, Alamo Area Master Naturalists, from 2pm - 4pm Sunday, April 27, for the chance to explore Walk Ranch Park. Using the iNaturalist app, participants with learn to spot and identify plants, birds, insects, and mammals in this seldom-studied natural area. Sightings documented during the hike will add information to San Antonio and Bexar County's understand of what flora and fauna we share space with. Easy to moderate hiking. Please download the iNaturalist app prior to your hike.
What is the City Nature Challenge? Join the Texas Master Naturalists, San Antonio Natural Areas, Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy, TPWD and many others in a fun challenge this weekend, April 26-29 to see which city can document the most plant and animal species. It's easy to participate by joining an event or making observations on your own using iNaturalist! To find out more about CNC 2025 and how to download iNaturalist and visit: CNC-SA.org.
· Please download iNaturalist on your phone and create user profile before arriving.
· Park in the parking lot by the restrooms. Meet at the gate by the restrooms.
· Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather.
· This is a good activity for adults and older children.
· Please leave your pets at home.
