Join us this spring for a walk in the park with a naturalist! We have four dates scheduled this spring. Throughout this series you will have a chance to explore Mississippi West and Rum River Central and observe a variety of migratory waterfowl such as ducks, swans, mergansers, and geese. As we inch towards summer, we’ll also encounter an exciting diversity of warblers and other forest birds in the canopies. Led by Ellen, a knowledgeable naturalist with a Masters of Environmental Education and a passion for birding, these walks are perfect for birdwatching enthusiasts of all levels to connect and spend some time outside.
Bring your own binoculars if you have them.
Cost is $5/person. Pre-registration is required, a minimum of 4 are needed to run this program and there is a maximum of 16 spots available.
Ages 8+
NOTE: If you'd like to extend your birding experience, feel free to arrive at 7 a.m. for an early walk with Ellen. She will begin by scouting the area to locate bird activity, then return to the parking lot to meet the main group at 8 a.m. You’re welcome to join for one or both loops!
