Join us on Sunday, 1 December 2024, at 11:00 AM as we come together as a community to take a stand against family violence. This important event will begin at the Devonport Cenotaph, where we will embark on a symbolic walk along the beautiful riverfront, leading to Aitkinhead Point.

At the mouth of the river, we will gather to hear from a guest speaker who will share insights and inspire us all to continue the fight against domestic and family violence. To honor the 64 women and children who tragically lost their lives to domestic and family violence in 2023, we will witness a powerful demonstration of women breaking boards with kicks or strikes, supported by trained individuals. This act of strength and solidarity represents our collective commitment to ending violence.

After the walk, enjoy a sausage sizzle provided by the Devonport Mersey Lions Club and light refreshments as we come together to reflect on the day’s message and our shared vision for a safer community.

This event is a joint initiative of the Zonta Club of Devonport and the Soroptimist Club of Devonport. Together, we can make a difference.
