Home to the earliest settlement by Europeans in the Seattle area, Georgetown has a long history that dovetails with the overall development of Seattle. On this two-mile, completely flat walk, we’ll discuss the undetermined fate of more than 3,000 disinterred bodies, the reengineering of the Duwamish River, the world's sixth largest brewery, and an historic steam plant. Mixing stories of vice, benevolence, engineering, and beer, this walk will give you new insights into one of the overlooked, and more interesting, neighborhoods in the city.
