Join us for the second of our three-part Walk & Learn series at Deerwoode Reserve in Brevard, and experience floodplain restoration as it happens. This second guided walk invites you onto a protected property conserved through a Conserving Carolina conservation easement, offering a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how healthy floodplains are restored and why they matter. This walk is about one hour and will take place at stage two of the project:
Walk Two, April 18: Midway Through Restoration – See the project in progress and learn about the techniques, challenges, and early changes taking shape on the landscape.
Walk Three, June 27: After Completion – Return to witness the finished restoration and discuss how the floodplain will continue to heal and function over time.
Whether you join for one walk or all three, this series offers a unique opportunity to walk the land, learn from the process, and connect with the story of restoration in real time.
*Space is limited and pre-registration is required, and space is limited to 30 participants. Registration, by RSVP below.
